Job Placement Program

Supported Job Placement/Special work Placement project

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the Supported Job Placement Program is to secure paid competitive employment.

WHO IS THE PROGRAM FOR?

The program has been designed for persons who are in career transitions and require support to gain on-the-job training experiences that lead to employment.  The Job Developer works in partnership with student to find a suitable placement within any SEB or NOC.  In fact, the Job Placement program has been used for some apprentice like options, for example, Non Destructive Tester, as well as, short term skill specific training experiences, such as Machinist Assistant.  Whatever the goal, networking with the business community and requesting special accommodations in the workplace is what CEO can do for you.

PHASES OF PROGRAM: How it Works!

The program has three phases and employment placement can include any NOC or SEB:

  1. Assessment and short term in house training (JSTP, overview of customer/cashier service)

  2. On-Site training with an employer for a period of 6-12 weeks

  3. Job Marketing/Procurement of paid, competitive employment

There are 3 phases to this program.  The first phase assists the candidate with presenting well in the interview by offering assessment and job readiness training.  The second phase is geared toward on the job training and work hardening when necessary.  Finally, the last phase of the program focuses on interview and/or placement for hire.  The program is designed to be flexible to meet the objectives of procuring employment and it's maximum length is 26 weeks to completion.  In some instances, the client may be hired within the second phase of employment.
